First thing Thursday was registration for Shane and I. We were given our passes for the weekend along with our jersey numbers for the actual ride on Sunday. The rest of the day was spent assembling bikes and going for a quick rip around downtown Austin to make sure that everything was in working order. The real highlight from day one actually came the night before when Chad arrived. |

The big day had finally come. Being that it was 5:30am when we got up, I think we were all pretty tired. We got all of our stuff together the night before, so there was very little scrambling to get out the door. Chad and I even had time to go downstairs and grab something to eat before we loaded onto the bus. Shane on the other hand took a little extra time making himself pretty for the ride. |

If I remeber correctly, day 3 we got to sleep in. Saturday was supposed to be the day of the run, but it got cancelled due to the LAF not being able to close down certain roads in Austin to make it happen. Instead, in its place they held a Live Strong Kids Event and a Health and Sports Expo. The kids event consisted of a one mile walk and a lemonade sale in support of helping a young girl to reach her goal of raising one million dollars for pediatric cancer research. |

I think I only ended up getting about three hours sleep on Thursday night. Friday was to be the second biggest day of the weekend and I could not wait to see how it was about to unfold. Friday was the day of the private ride with Lance. Friday was a great day. |
